The FBI investigated a New York man in 2024 after Canadian ‘vigilantes’ confronted him and warned he had travelled to sexually abuse a minor. It took another two years and a girl’s disappearance for the man to be arrested and charged, according to U.S. court records reviewed by CBC News.
