The cyclone triggered widespread rainfall across Andhra Pradesh, with Bapatla recording the highest district-average rainfall of 40.02 mm between 8:30 am on Monday and 5:00 am on Tuesday.
The effects of Cyclone Murasu were also felt in neighbouring Odisha and Tamil Nadu.
